Tiffany’s Weight Loss Story
Looking for inspiration? You came to the right place. Tiffany’s weight loss story is incredible—and will hopefully inspire others to find their happiness and health again.
Losing a 58 pounds total, 50 of those in 10 months, Tiffany looks like a completely different person.
Here’s her weight loss story along with details on her weight loss diet.
Nothing ever stuck long-term
“I’ve always been unhappy with my weight,” Tiffany told MaxQ Nutrition, “Attempting multiple times throughout my adult life to go on diets or start workout regimens, NOTHING ever stuck long-term. I knew when I found myself thinking that I would just have to accept that this is who I am and deal with it, that I would not give up that easily.”
Tiffany said she’d tried many a weight loss diet in the past, she started, she stopped, she succeeded a little, then failed.
“I failed,” Tiffany said, “and the reason I did is because I never approached weight loss as a lifestyle change.”
Tiffany said in her failed attempts, usually she had a specific reason like clothes didn’t fit right or she was depressed. She said what made her successful is that she changed her thought process. She knew she didn’t want to change her weight—but her LIFE.
And she did.
How did she do it?
Well, it wasn’t easy.
I put myself on my own priority list
Starting at 228 pounds, Tiffany joined Weight Watchers to help her with portion control and got a Fitbit to start tracking her regular exercise.
Next, for her weight loss diet plan– she rid the house of all junk. “I started swapping out all chips, cookies and pop for healthy alternatives. The kids were a little irritated at first, but they’ve gotten used to “NEW MOM,” she says with a smile.
Next, she put herself on her priority list. “I had always put myself last,” Tiffany told MaxQ Nutrition, “My way of thinking was that I had to make sure everyone and everything was taken care of, and THEN if there was enough time, I’d work on myself.”
“I realized, you can’t pour from an empty cup and put my own needs higher up on the list—even above laundry,” she said.
Her new list was:
- Healthy Meals
Tiffany’s weight loss story continued with regular exercise at home.
“I do all my workouts at home, I don’t have time for a gym while working full time and being a single mom of 3 little ones,” Tiffany said. “I have a treadmill and use it for about 30-45 min about 4-5x a week. I also do floor exercises 4 times a week.”
Tiffany said she breaks up the monotony of exercises with DVD training like T25, Insanity Max30 and Piyo.
She followed her assigned points and even ate the extra points every single week as part of her weight loss diet. “Eating your points is important. If your body isn’t getting enough of what it needs, it won’t let go of what it has,” Tiffany said.
It wasn’t easy, but she never thought about quitting. With a support group of people online going through the same thing she was, she said they kept her going strong. She believes this was her game changer—support and inspiration.
The weight came off quickly….
“The weight came off quickly at first, there were weeks where the losses were not as big as some, and even other weeks where I’d gain a small amount. But, it’s all about the balance and trusting the process. I knew if I kept eating healthy portions of food and working out, it would happen.”
Tiffany said she never counted calories on her weight loss diet, but she did compare what she used to eat to what point value Weight Watchers would assign to it, and it was frightening.
She didn’t even KNOW she was eating that much.
Sometimes awareness is the first step.
I hit a plateau
“I hit a plateau,” Tiffany said, “ I was two pounds from my goal weight loss of 50 pounds. The plateau lasted TWO MONTHS!” She said. But she continued on with her weight loss diet and fitness plan with faith that she would break through and her body would adjust.
“The plateau was really frustrating. But I didn’t give up. I knew it would all catch up with me in the end–and it did. That’s how I’ve lost more past my goal weight- I had kept living the lifestyle without wavering. I knew my body was changing even if the scale wasn’t moving.”
And she was right.
Tiffany broke through her goal weight and has lost a total of 58 pounds in less than a year on her weight loss diet and fitness plan. Her one year weight loss story anniversary is coming up on October 30, 2017.
Think about that.
Last year—were you sitting down crying about your weight?—feeling depressed or helpless? Or, did you tell yourself in January, you’d start trying to lose weight…and you’re still in the same clothes you were nearly a year ago.
Didn’t it all go by so quickly?
Think about how you would feel in one year if you were where you want to be—health, weight and appearance-wise?
Think about it…can you imagine how happy YOU could be in less than a year?
We wanted to know how Tiffany felt when she reached her goal weight.
That pair of goal jeans are too big, now
MAXQ: What was it like slipping on that pair of pants in a size you dreamed of?
“Incredible. I had a pair of goal jeans that were my sister’s. I could never share clothes with any of my sisters before. Every couple of weeks I’d try them on. In the beginning, I couldn’t even get them over mid thighs. The day I wore them out in public I could have been wearing a million dollar dress. What feels even more incredible-is that that particular pair of “goal jeans”, are now too big!”
So let’s hear it. What sizes did she start at and end up at?
Start: Size 18/20 jeans
Finish: Size 8 jeans.
Start: Size 2XL shirts.
Finish: Size M shirts.

Tiffany’s advice to you:
- Silence that little voice in your head that tells you to give up by making your inner beast voice a lot louder.
- Stick to a plan. Watch what you eat and exercise and it will catch up with you.
- Decide to change now—it will be the best decision you’ll ever make.
- Don’t think of your weight loss story as a quick fix. Think about it as the rest of your life. Find a squad of people to keep you motivated, accountable and to build relationships with.
