Five Workouts For a Firmer Butt
We may cover it up during the majority of the day, but everyone wants a fantastic butt to boast about. Whether it’s in some snug jeans, leggings, or on the beach– a tight toosh is the goal.
Firmer, thicker, bigger or leaner, if you’re looking to better your behind, look no more, we’ve got 5 workouts to tighten, firm and buff up your booty so you can rock it on the beach.
Barbell Hip-Thrusts
You can do this one sitting or laying down. Make sure you use a padded barbell. Choose your weights.
Place the barbell across your pelvis. Raise the bar with your hips while keeping your feet firmly on the ground. Push your hips with your GLUTES!
Descend and repeat. Hey—that bum is looking nicer already!
Curtsy Lunges
These sound pleasant, but they will burn your bum.
Stand with your knees, shoulders and feet aligned. Then put one foot behind the other and off to the side until you look like you’re meeting the queen.
Slowly bring your foot back to its starting position and repeat on the other side. You’ll feel the burn on the sides of your hind-end. Yes, there it is.

Pistol Squats
These don’t have to be as intimidating as they sound.
With one leg extended outward, squat while keeping the leg raised off the ground.
Extend your arms for balance. Slowly lower yourself down and then stand up again.
If you cant do this without assistance, simply sit on a bench with one leg extended and then stand up and sit back down until you build strength and muscle to do a full pistol squat.
Single Leg Squat with Exercise Ball
Here’s another one legger. Put an exercise ball against the wall and rest your back on it.
Extend one leg and slowly squat while ‘rolling’ the ball downward with your back. Stand up, repeat.
Feelin’ tighter already.
Super(wo)man Exercise
This is a fun one because it doesn’t just work your butt, it works everything so you can work it when you walk away—from anything. Back, sides, bum, hammies, it gets you tight so you look good when you leave.
Lay on your stomach, raise your arms and legs off the ground. You can either pretend you’re flying, saving a city or swimming on magnetized water. You can remain still and hold it for a minute at a time, or up the ante and pulse your legs and arms for some extra burn.

These are five great exercises to get that Brazilian bum you want. Remember to keep your core tight and put your mind to your muscle. Really think about your glutes pushing you back up into the starting positions. You’re working a large muscle group during these exercises.
